15 charities shortlisted for this year’s Charity Governance Awards

Prospectus is proud to be a key partner in the Charity Governance Awards – the UK awards that recognise and reward good charity governance. The awards are organised and funded by The Clothworkers’ Company, a City Livery company that supports trusteeship initiatives and is supported by New Philanthropy CapitalReach and Prospectus.

Great governance is key to successful organisations and these awards ‘raise the bar’. They showcase the highlights from the sector and demonstrate how effective governance can transform a charity and even more of the lives of its beneficiaries. The awards are open to registered charities of all sizes and the winners will receive £5,000 as an unrestricted grant.

This year’s judging day has now taken place and we are pleased to announce the 2023 shortlist. The shortlisted charities are engaged in a diverse range of activities including mental health research, horticultural therapy, education and mentoring for disadvantaged young people, employment support for refugees, and affordable law services for women. The winners will be announced on 8 June at a live ceremony taking place, this year, at Drapers’ Hall in London.

The shortlist includes nominees for the new category that seeks to recognise charity boards who have tackled widespread, systemic problems: ‘From Systemic Challenge to Meaningful Change’. Breaking Barriers, MQ Mental Health Research and Unfold are each in the running for this new award.

Congratulations to all that were shortlisted, and we look forward to announcing the winners after the awards ceremony takes place in June.
