Breaking the career journey bias with Dallas Pounds – Director of Services at Lymphoma Action

The Fawcett Society’s Sex and Power 2020 report showed that women are missing from the top jobs in trade unions, charities, professional bodies, and sports bodies. Under-representation is consistent and persistent across sectors.

Imagine a gender equal world. A world free of bias, stereotypes, and discrimination. A world that is diverse, equitable, and inclusive. A world where difference is valued and celebrated.

This year’s theme for International Women’s Day is #BreakTheBias. That can mean a lot of different things to different people. We wanted to celebrate women in their career journeys and were delighted to speak with Dallas Pounds, Director of Services at Lymphoma Action.

Dallas takes us through her career journey from being a nurse, a specialist clinician in the NHS to reaching the dizzy heights as a charity executive. We delve into what motivated Dallas to make the moves she did and what we can learn from it.

One thing that Dallas has always done is stay true to herself and that was clear to see in our conversation. We hope you enjoy and take something from the interview, we know we did.
