Market Development Manager

The Global Steering Group for Impact Investment (GSG) is a bold organisation founded on the belief that investment done well can benefit people and the planet without sacrificing profit. The GSG’s mission is to innovate, agitate and orchestrate real change in our economic systems. The GSG want societal and environmental impact is embedded in every investment and business decision affecting people and the planet. The GSG is chaired by Sir Ronald Cohen and brings together leaders from the worlds of business, finance, philanthropy and NGOs.

Prospectus were approached by the Global Steering Group for Impact Investment to support them in hiring for three pivotal roles including a Market Development Manager.

The Market Development Manager would work to develop and strengthen their National Advisory Boards (NABS), with strong focus on FCDO target countries. They would play a critical role to support NABs to become effective market builders, enabling more capital to flow towards impact, measurably benefiting people and planet. Working in emerging markets, they would be required to build capacity and guide local stakeholders from across national ecosystems to work together to set up successful, influential and sustainable NABs.

Atieno Otonglo, based in Nairobi, joined as Market Development Manager, bringing their experience of working in emerging markets to the role.

In addition, Prospectus appointed:

  • Fundraising Associate – Sana Jatoi joined as Fundraising Associate, bringing a blend of commercial and NGO experience along with knowledge of impact investment to support the sustainability of the GSG community. Working closely with colleagues all around the world, Sana will be researching opportunities, developing engagement strategies, and building relationships with all supporters.

  • Executive Assistant to CEO – The new EA to CEO, Clare Lees, joined the sector from an extensive high-profile career in both FTSE top 50 and privately owned bluechip organisations. An Executive Assistant sat at the heart of the organisation, she will provide an important support function to the CEO, build relationships, liaise with internal and external parties, attend internal meetings, take minutes and monitor follow ups in the role.
