Head of Nature Based Solutions
National Parks Partnerships (NPP) identifies, secures and manages commercial and strategic UK level partnerships for the UK’s 15 National Parks. NPP is a small but entrepreneurial entity that strives to grow the National Parks family’s impact, resources and influence. Since 2021 NPP has collaborated with the impact consultancy Palladium on the award-winning Revere initiative. Revere is driving the engagement of the National Park Authorities (NPAs) in private investment into nature activity with the vision to restore landscapes at scale and to fight the climate and biodiversity crises.
Prospectus first worked with NPP on a multi-role campaign which realised the launch of their Nature Based Solutions team with 3 Project Managers, a Senior Operations Manager, Development Director, Development Manager and Partnerships Communications Manager. This ambitious and hugely impactful recruitment project was completed with great candidates confirmed across a 4-month window.
When NPP found that they needed a Head of Nature Based Solutions, Prospectus was again the natural choice. This high-profile role would see the successful candidate driving a pipeline of major projects, acting as an internal and external advocate for the role of Protected Landscapes in the emerging UK natural capital market. The role focusses on close work with the National Park Authorities to support increased NbS knowledge and the development of major projects that are suitable for at-scale private investment. The ideal candidate would be a confident team leader and networker with strong hands-on experience of complex project management from within the nature/ecology space. They would also need to demonstrate a passion for growing the scale and pace of nature restoration and an understanding of the role of private finance in the fight against climate change and biodiversity loss.
