Our Use of AI in Recruitment: What This Means for Our Clients

Our Commitment to You
The quality of the candidates we put in front of you depends entirely on the quality of our consultants’ judgement, not on algorithms or AI. Every candidate we recommend has been reviewed and assessed by a trained human consultant.
How We Use AI
We use AI selectively to support administrative efficiency. This means our consultants spend less time on repetitive tasks and more time focused on understanding your organisation, building candidate relationships, and delivering a high-quality, responsive service.
Our use of AI is ethical, values-led, and fully compliant with all relevant legal requirements, including UK employment law and data protection legislation.
Your Data
We understand that the information you share with us, including role descriptions, organisational detail, salary information, and strategic context, is sensitive. Here is how we protect it:
Bias, Fairness & Hiring Outcomes
We take the risk of AI-generated bias seriously. Unchecked AI can perpetuate patterns that disadvantage candidates from underrepresented groups, which is both ethically wrong and harmful to the quality and diversity of your shortlists.
Our Approach:
Our Ongoing Commitment
We continually review how AI is used within our organisation to ensure it reflects our values and delivers the best possible outcomes for clients and candidates alike. Any new or expanded use of AI will be assessed, documented and communicated.
Client FAQs
1. Does AI screen or score the CVs you send us?
No. Every CV and candidate profile we send to you has been personally reviewed and assessed by one of our consultants.
2. Could AI introduce bias into our hiring process?
We are conscious of this risk and take active steps to mitigate it. All tools we do use are assessed for bias before adoption. Our consultants are trained in inclusive recruitment practice, and human oversight is required at every decision point.
3. How is our confidential information protected?
All AI tools we use operate within secure, ringfenced systems. The information you share with us, including job descriptions and organisational context, is never shared with third-party AI providers and is never used to train AI models. Our data handling is fully compliant with UK GDPR.
4. What guidance do you provide to candidates on AI usage?
We recognise AI can be a useful tool in our candidates’ job search, and we welcome candidates using it thoughtfully. We provide further guidance to candidates here.
5. What if I have questions about AI use in the recruitment process?
If you have any questions about how AI is being used that is not answered here, please contact us at data@prospect-us.co.uk.
