Dr. Ambreen Shah recently worked at Design Council as Director of Policy, Research and Communications. Previous to this, she spent 12 years at the Big Lottery Fund (now the National Lottery Community Fund) as Deputy Director, England, leading teams to develop and deliver a range of multi-million pound grant funding programmes to the voluntary and community sector.  Her training is as a social scientist and in evaluative research and she has a PhD on ‘Muslims in Britain: Ideas of British Citizenship’.
