Carla has worked and volunteered in the charity sector for over 20 years for a range of charitable causes. Prior to joining Read Easy she was CEO of a youth charity called The Way Youth Zone in Wolverhampton.

What was your first job?

Community Fundraiser

What is the best piece of leadership advice you’ve been given?

Be authentic.

What or who is your most admired purpose-led organisation or person?

Lots of different people and organisations.

What do you do to help ensure good mental health?

Rest. Walk. Spend time with loved ones.

What is the most impactful leadership decision you’ve made?

Knowing when enough is enough and it’s time to move on.
