Over the past year I’ve had the chance to lead our B Corp recertification, which meant spending time with colleagues, looking closely at how we work and gathering evidence to submit. It’s been a really grounding process, and the result reflects the progress we’ve made as a team.

When I think about Prospectus and the journey we’ve been on, one thing stands out above everything else: purpose has always been our anchor. It’s shaped how we show up, how we make decisions, and how we partner with the organisations and individuals we’re proud to support. As we approach our 70th year, sharing our 2026 B Corp Impact Score feels like a moment to pause and recognise just how far that purpose has taken us. It’s a result that not only reflects our commitment to creating change by connecting people with purpose, but one that genuinely excites us about the future we’re building together.

For us, being a B Corp isn’t something that sits on the side of the business; it’s part of our DNA. The principles that B Corp asks businesses to demonstrate, putting people first, acting with integrity, and creating long-term positive impact, have guided Prospectus long before external frameworks existed to measure them. This year’s recertification doesn’t signal a new direction; it simply reflects the way we’ve always chosen to work. It validates the everyday decisions our team makes and strengthens our belief in the sector we want to help shape.

What Our 2026 Score Tells Us

After a rigorous reassessment across five key impact areas, our updated scores are:

  • Governance: 20.5
  • Workers: 33.1
  • Community: 24
  • Environment: 1.9
  • Customers: 17.3

This brings our total 2026 B Impact Score to 96.8, demonstrating significant progress since our previous assessment four years ago, when our score was 82.5.

I’m especially proud of our strong performance in Workers, Governance, and Community, each reflecting core values that guide our work. And while our Environment score shows the work ahead, we’re approaching this area with focus, honesty, and transparency.

How We Got Here

Governance: Purpose built in

One thing we’ve always believed is that good governance isn’t something you only revisit at year-end or in a board meeting. It shows up in the small decisions. The things no one sees from the outside. At Prospectus, we’re always thinking about the long term: whether a choice aligns with our values, whether it creates fairness, and whether it supports impact. That mindset is what earned this score, and it’s something I’m proud of.

Workers: People first, always

If you’ve ever spoken with our team, you’ll know this already: they care deeply. Our non-commission model, flexible working and commitment to development aren’t designed to ‘attract talent’. They’re designed to respect people, support people, and help them do their best work. Seeing that reflected in our score means a lot because it validates the culture we’ve been building together for years.

Community: Impact beyond recruitment

For us, community impact isn’t an add‑on. Whether it’s volunteering, inclusive hiring practices, charity partnerships or sector advocacy, these efforts stem from a belief that we have a responsibility beyond placements. It’s about widening access, bringing more voices to the table, and using our position to make sure opportunities reach those who’ve historically been overlooked. That’s work our team cares deeply about.

Environment: Honest progress

Our environmental score reflects where we are today — and where we need to be tomorrow. Working mostly virtually has helped in some regards, but it also means we have more to do to measure and manage our footprint effectively. We’re not shying away from that. We’ve set clear priorities that will help us move in the right direction, and we have a plan we’re committed to putting into action.

Customers: Championing clients and candidates

One thing that consistently stands out in our feedback is how much people value our noncommission, collaborative approach. When the focus isn’t on chasing fees but on getting the right outcome, trust grows. And that’s where the real impact happens. Having 90% of clients and candidates recommend us isn’t something we take lightly. It motivates us to continue listening and delivering with integrity. People feel the difference when recruitment is grounded in purpose, not pressure.

A Word from Our CEO, Andy:

“An appreciation and value of all stakeholders is an important part of what I think makes Prospectus unique. It’s great to see this reflected in our best B Corp Impact Score yet after a decade of being a part of this movement. I am really proud to be a part of a team that cares about our impact in all aspects of our work.

Looking Ahead

Looking ahead, I feel a real sense of responsibility — the good kind! The kind that motivates you to do better because you know the work genuinely matters.

Our recertification isn’t just an achievement; it’s a reminder of the standards we set for ourselves and the kind of organisation we want to continue being. Our focus is on staying true to the principles that have carried Prospectus for nearly 70 years while being open to evolving where we need to, which means a few things:

  • Raising our environmental ambition — moving from intention to action, and action to measurable impact.
  • Championing equity and inclusion — not just in the roles we help fill, but in the practices we encourage across the sector.
  • Strengthening ethical, purpose‑led recruitment across the sector

As always, none of this is something we achieve alone. To our clients, candidates, partners, and to the Prospectus team — thank you. Your trust, honesty and collaboration keep us focused on what matters most. Here’s to another year of creating change by connecting people with purpose and to the difference we can make together.
