Tammy joined Prospectus in May 2023 as a Recruitment Consultant in the Education team, specialising in part time and temporary placements, and providing support to the rest of the team.
She recently moved to London from South Africa, and is keen to learn about the higher education and charity sectors here. Before making the move, she worked as a Project Manager for a contemporary arts consultancy in Johannesburg, focusing on public art and community-led urban development. Within this role, she was exposed to the importance of building networks and collaboration, and the importance of skills sharing – this has furthered her interest in working with educational institutions.
Tammy studied a BA Fine Arts, and then spent some time working in the education department at a university museum, and then a performing arts trust. This experience highlighted the value of working in educational and supportive institutions, and she went on to study an MA in Cultural Policy and Management, focusing on arts education advocacy. Now in London, she is looking forward to volunteering in a community development / public art capacity.
