Board Directors
World Bicycle Relief partner with communities to deliver specially designed, locally assembled, rugged bicycles for people in need. They’ve developed an efficient, innovative, and scalable model to empower communities of students, health workers, and entrepreneurs in rural regions with life-changing mobility. As a non-profit, they work with their for-profit subsidiary social enterprise (Buffalo Bicycles) to establish and manage a sustainable transportation ecosystem through the power of the bicycles.
Partnering with the World Bicycle Relief US and Switzerland Boards, Prospectus were mandated to find new Board Directors to support and provide governance of the highest quality and rigour as the organisation enters a phase of increased impact. The new Board Directors would share the motivation and values of World Bicycle Relief; be willing to make a strategic contribution as a learning partner and have a background in international strategic corporate or private trusts and foundations, entrepreneurial or development leadership, or as an institutional connector. World Bicycle Relief preferred one of the new Board Directors to be Zürich-based, and to bring connections across French speaking Switzerland.
Prospectus were delighted to support the appointment of three new Board Directors, two to the US Board and one to the Switzerland Board.
