Chief Income and Engagement Officer
RNIB have a prestigious history of fundraising and a committed donor base of individual givers and legacy support. High value giving has had a difficult time during the pandemic and growth had stagnated, so alongside Prospectus’ appointment of the Chief Income and Engagement Officer, Prospectus then supported that postholder to build out the Director level in SLT within the Income and Engagement division.
A vast search was undertaken and both international stakeholder management as well as external donor partnership success were the key criteria, as the selected candidate would have to navigate a complex internal structure alongside hitting big targets.
Interviews included blind and partially sighted members of the RNIB community and all documentation, messaging, and online advertisements were made accessible and screen-readable, something the Prospectus team has applied to much of our other recruitment.
Rob Melvill started in February 2023, bringing key experience from the central HQ at Citizens Advice and other impressive organisations. Nina Walker also began in a complimentary role to this one, focusing on leading the individual giving, community, and legacy teams.
