Reboot the Future contacted Prospectus to support with an Interim Operations Director vacancy, keen to find an experienced senior finance and operations professional to support the organisation for 9 months. Due to some significant change at a senior level and in part to support with maternity leave, a new interim role was created to work closely with the CEO to add value and to take a particular lead on operations, finance, HR and planning. This role was a part time vacancy, open to candidates 2-4 days per week.
As a small team of 6, and with a creative and external facing CEO, it was critical for the incoming candidate to have the experience and credibility to provide stability in this interim period, able to hit the ground running and to provide a strong grasp of finance from within the not-for-profit sector. As with many Interim vacancies there was a key importance on speed, with a need to bring someone in within 4-6 weeks. Due to the urgency of the vacancy we agreed to provide applications on a rolling basis to move things along and were able to utilise our networks to engage and interview candidates quickly.
Following our own initial interviews and screening of candidates, we arranged a number of candidate interviews with Reboot the Future and, following a competitive final stage process, were able to identify an experienced finance and operations professional who was already known to us at Prospectus, to start in the role within 1 month of advertising the vacancy.
