Director of Fundraising

National AIDS Trust (NAT) is UK’s HIV rights charity. It works to stop HIV from standing in the way of health, dignity and equality, and to end new HIV transmissions. Its expertise, research and advocacy secure lasting change to the lives of people living with and at risk of HIV.

We were delighted to partner with NAT in their search for a Director of Fundraising, a strategic leadership position responsible for driving income across all sectors of fundraising with a particular emphasis on philanthropy and individual giving. Leading an ambitious team of five, during a challenging fundraising environment, remaining on track in terms of targets and the five strategies would be key.

This was an exciting opportunity for a person with relevant experience in the sector looking to step up into the role or alternatively working in an already similar position. Prospectus ran a wide search and advertising campaign, that lead to a well-balanced shortlist of existing director candidates and some that would be stepping into their first director role.

The successful candidate had impressive experience both across fundraising and health sector charities. They also had previously held a Director post before and been part of a senior team.
