The previous Chief Executive had been with the charity for four years, and led them through significant change and improvement. They wished to appoint a new CEO who would guide them through the challenges and opportunities ahead of them. As there was going to be a hiatus between the CEO leaving and a new one starting, it was decided to appoint an Interim CEO to lead over the transition period.

Ropinder was Director of Income Generation at Peace Hospice and previously Head of Fundraising at the Epilepsy Society and had been seeking her first CEO position.
