Head of HR
London Youth is a charity on a mission to improve the lives of young people in London, challenging them to become the best they can. Young people need opportunities outside school to have fun with their friends, to learn new skills, to make a positive change in their communities and to shape the city they live in.
Prospectus partnered with London Youth in the search for their new Head of HR. Accountable to the Director of Finance and Resources, the postholder would provide guidance for all HR-related matters and would spearhead the People Team, which focuses on maintaining high standards of wellbeing and engagement across staff teams. The successful candidate would be responsible for business partnering and the development of the people strategy in line with London Youth’s vision and mission.
As London Youth has a deep and local focus to their work, they were really keen to appoint someone that understood that approach and reflected the communities that they serviced. They would be servicing a range of sites and engaging with service users across London so it was of paramount importance to have an open and inclusive process to encourage a wide range of applicants.
The successful candidate was an accomplished Human Resources professional with significant strategic and operational experience gained from private and not for profit organisations. Areas of expertise included talent acquisition, staff engagement, learning & development, retention, employee relations and performance management, including policy development.
