We have had the pleasure of working with the Esmée Fairbairn Foundation for nearly twenty years and follow the work of the Foundation with great interest.

The Foundation provides around £50million annually in grants to organisations and initiatives with brilliant ideas who share their goals.  They also provide social and impact investment for organisations with the aim of creating social and environmental impact. Their strategy focuses on three interdependent aims: improving Our Natural World; tackling injustice to deliver A Fairer Future; and nurturing Creative, Confident Communities.

We work closely with the organisation to support their recruitment needs which tend to be primarily in Grants related roles such as Funding Manager, Funding Lead and Funding Director roles both permanent, and interim contracts when they arise. We also recruit at Grants Officer levels and across other disciplines such as IT, Operations and Digital Leads.

Diverse representation is absolutely central to the core requirements of this organisation, as it plays an essential role in making sure the Foundation has a voice drawn from the widest possible personal and professional experience. Thematic sector practitioner expertise, combined with grant-making experience and thoughtful curiosity are important considerations in selection, in addition to candidates who are ideas driven themselves, but who are equally passionate about listening to the ideas of others.
