Prospectus were commissioned to appoint a new Global Director of Development to lead all fundraising efforts for an evolving programme portfolio. The purpose of the position was to grow and evolve the existing portfolio of grants as part of the overall Development team. ClientEarth’s income is approximately £32m per year with £25m falling to this Global Director’s responsibility. The key focus of the first year in post was to explore how to diversify the donor portfolio on an international basis, building the income basis and strengthening the financial sustainability.
ClientEarth are an enormously popular employer and have great credibility and employee brand in the environmental sector. The selected candidate had a mix of experiences from within and outside the environmental sector and has grown income in the first year in post.
