The Challenge
Citizens Advice South West Surrey, is a recently formed organisation from the merger between Citizens Advice Waverley and Citizens Advice Guildford & Ash. They have been facing unprecedented demand for their services assisting the local population with over 30,000 issues annually. As a result of a strategic restructure, there was an urgent need to fill five critical roles to ensure continuity of their services and local community impact:
- Finance Manager
- Advice Supervisors
- Caseworkers
- Technology and Facilities Coordinator
- Data Analyst and Researcher

The Solution
To attract qualified candidates across various sectors and experience levels, we offered tailored media solutions within budget constraints. Our approach included:
- Insight-driven Strategy: Leveraging our data from working with over 250+ local Citizens Advice offices, we identified trends and strategies that had proven successful in similar roles across the country.
- Bespoke Media Plan: A tailored media strategy was created to reach candidates from diverse sectors and skill sets, ensuring the right talent pools were tapped into for each position.
- Targeted Recruitment Channels for example:
- Option 1: Focused on professionals with experience in the non-profit sector.
- Option 2: Targeted finance professionals with charity sector expertise, experienced supervisors, and IT professionals with facilities management skills
The Outcome
The campaign successfully reached a broad yet relevant candidate pool through carefully selected media channels, leading to a strong pipeline of qualified applicants ensuring that they can continue to provide their vitals services to the community whilst strengthening their internal operations.

Across the campaign over 3,000 candidates engaged with the adverts through across multiple media platforms.

This campaign enhanced their employer brand by showcasing Citizens Advice South West Surrey’s commitment to serving their local community and the professional growth of their staff.

Strong Candidate Pool
350 redirects to the respective roles on the Citizens Advice South West Surrey website, for the Technology and Facilities Coordinator role alone over 50 applications were received resulting in a shortlist of 11 candidates for that role.
