Career Connect – Case Study
Career Connect is a charity committed to supporting young people and adults to realise their potential. They deliver their mission through high quality and professional career management, employment and training services delivered in schools, in the community and in prisons.
Career Connect is passionate about social mobility and helping the most disadvantaged to create a better future. Their vision is for a society where every individual realises their full potential.
Having developed a new Vision, Mission and long-term strategy, including expanding their work in criminal justice and developing a thriving research and evaluation function, Career Connect were seeking to further strengthen the board by bringing in two individuals operating at a strategic leadership level with experience in Research and Impact and Criminal Justice. As part of Career Connect’s commitment to ensuring that young people are at the heart of what they do, they were also seeking to appoint two young Trustees.
“Prospectus did an excellent job in our recent Trustee recruitment process. We had provided a very detailed brief to ensure we recruited the right skills and experience we wanted to join the Board. They carefully listened and understood the context of our charity and what we were precisely looking for, and produced both a longlist and shortlist of very high calibre candidates. Due to the strength of the field we brought on board more Trustees than we had originally envisaged. We are delighted with the appointments we have made and know that they will bring new thinking and fresh perspectives to support the delivery of our mission.” Chair | Lorraine Dodd
