Director of Fundraising and Engagement
Birmingham and Black Country Wildlife Trust (BBCWT) is the first urban Wildlife Trust in the UK and with nine nature reserves including two Environmental Education Centres, BBCWT continues to lead the way in urban nature conservation.
In June 2022, BBCWT launched a new, exciting and ambitious strategic plan for 2030 and Prospectus was excited to support the appointment of a new Director of Fundraising and Engagement to play a vital role in ensuring the growth of the financial resources available to deliver this strategy.
For BBCWT, the need for someone with expertise across income generation and communications as well as bringing a solutions-led, creative and ambitious approach, was important. BBCWT needed the new Director to be comfortable strategically leading a large, multi-functional team as well as being hands-on. With tight budgets but high expectations in the role the search was a challenge, but through a collaborative, transparent approach with the Chief Executive we appointed a fantastic new local Director of Development.
