Advocacy Charity
Our client is a well-established charity that helps people speak up and make decisions about their health, wellbeing and social care. By providing a range of advocacy services they ensure people who are vulnerable because of their circumstances can understand their rights, make effective choices about their lives and voice their concerns.
When faced with a change of Leadership, the Board saw the opportunity to take on an experienced interim Chief Executive Officer to review, assess and make recommendations on how they could develop and enhance the organisation. The interim would be tasked with strengthening the foundations of the organisation – through infrastructure and staff development; improving their brand awareness and deepening external partnerships; as well as developing their working culture to ensure they always evaluate, learn, support and think forward positively.
The placed candidate brought over 20 years’ experience as a Chief Executive Officer within the charity sector (related fields); experience as a Chair for a number of charities and a social enterprise; and brought a genuine passion for their work. Having led several organisations through significant periods of change the Board felt this individual would bring a genuine depth of knowledge and a significant skill set to ensure the organisation was left well positioned and robust for the future by the end of the interim contract.
