Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants

Client Background: Ambitious about Autism is a UK-based charity dedicated to improving the lives of young people with autism. As part of their initiatives, they operate Ambitious College, providing specialised education and support services for young adults with autism in Tottenham and Isleworth.

Problem Statement: Ambitious about Autism faced significant challenges in recruiting Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistants (TAs) for their college campuses and needed support in engaging candidates.

Solution: Understanding the unique challenges faced by Ambitious about Autism, Prospectus collaborated with the organisation to devise a tailored solution that would increase their candidate pool. Recognising the potential of social media in reaching a broader audience, Prospectus proposed a comprehensive social media campaign to support Ambitious about Autism’s recruitment efforts.

We took 4 steps to implement the/ensure a successful campaign::

  1. Strategic Planning: Prospectus conducted a thorough analysis of Ambitious about Autism’s recruitment needs and devised a strategic plan to leverage social media effectively. This involved identifying target demographics, crafting compelling content, and selecting appropriate platforms for maximum impact.
  1. Content Development: Leveraging their expertise in content creation, Prospectus developed engaging and informative content tailored to resonate with potential candidates.
  1. Campaign Execution: Over three months, Prospectus ran the social media campaign to raise awareness of TA vacancies at Ambitious College. The campaign aimed to drive traffic to the recruitment website and position Ambitious about Autism as an employer of choice.
  1. Monitoring and Optimisation: Prospectus closely monitored key metrics such as reach, engagement and website traffic throughout the campaign, continuously optimising content and targeting to maximise effectiveness.

“Prospectus have supported us with our Social Media strategy over the last few months. We were at a point where our vacancy numbers for our teaching assistant roles had grown considerably, and we needed to look at a different way of recruiting. Prospectus came to the table with ideas on how we could engage candidates to fill our current needs whilst also being able to establish us as an employer of choice. Nick was brilliant throughout the process and was able to help us pull together some really engaging content which led to large volumes of candidates engaging with us. After a few months of working with Prospectus we are in a much better position recruitment wise“.
