Prospectus is excited to be working with Carers First to help them recruit for an interim fundraiser to join their team. Carers First is a charity that works directly with, and for unpaid carers, providing personalised information, advice and tailored support making it easier for those caring for someone else to continue living their lives to the fullest. This role is offered on a flexible 9-month contract paying a salary of up to £33,944 per annum, with flexible remote working arrangements and occasional travel to the Strood Head Office or London for team meetings.
The interim fundraiser will be responsible for securing and sustaining trusts, foundations and corporate fundraising income to enable Carers First to grow its support and impact for carers. They will build positive relationships with previous, current and prospective funders; produce compelling and accurate funding applications and reports; use their systems to accurately record and monitor their trust and corporate fundraising and undertake research to identify new funding opportunities. The postholder will also work collaboratively with colleagues across Carers First to communicate the need of our work, demonstrate its impact and ensure that funders receive high-quality information.
They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience in fundraising through trusts, foundations and/or corporates. They are looking for a candidate with demonstrable experience of identifying, developing and delivering successful cases for support. They are looking for someone with demonstrable experience of understanding detailed information from multiple sources and turning it into clear, accurate and compelling written applications and reports. The ideal candidate will demonstrate understanding of and an ambitious commitment to the goals and values of the charity.
