Trustees/ Governing Board Members
Open Contracting Partnership

Time commitment: Half a day per month
The Open Contracting Partnership occupies a unique position within the global development landscape. Public contracting is the world’s largest marketplace, covering $13 trillion of spending every year. Given its scope and scale, procurement has a vast, untapped potential to address the most significant challenges facing our world.
At a time when governments face increasing pressure to deliver better public services, strengthen public trust and demonstrate value for public money, OCP continues to show how open, fair and effective public contracting can be a powerful driver of social and economic change. Through its work across more than 50 countries, OCP has helped transform public procurement from a technical function into a strategic lever for tackling corruption, strengthening institutions, improving service delivery and creating more inclusive economies.
As OCP reaches the midpoint of its ambitious 2024-2030 strategy, the appointment of new Governing Board members represents an important opportunity to strengthen the leadership, insight and networks that will help guide the organization through its next phase of growth and impact. These appointments are an opportunity to ensure the Board continues to reflect the global nature of OCP’s work, while bringing the expertise, challenge, and perspective needed to support the organization’s long-term ambitions.
This board recruitment aims to strengthen the geographic diversity of our Board. We particularly encourage applications from candidates based in the Global South who have experience working across the Asia-Pacific region, especially in India, Indonesia, the Philippines or Thailand.
We are seeking individuals with expertise in areas such as:
- Senior-level experience in financial management
- Expertise in public procurement or government reform
- Implementing digital reforms in differing country contexts
- Working in and with private sector actors on issues relevant to OCP’s work
- Anti-corruption, governance, open government, transparency and related fields
