English Heritage cares for over 400 historic monuments, buildings, and places, bringing the story of England to life for millions of visitors each year. These range from prehistoric sites and medieval castles to Roman forts and country houses.

As a trusted partner to the organisation, Prospectus supported English Heritage with their recruitment advertisement, amplifying their brand and ensuring a diverse range of candidates saw their job adverts.

Through this relationship, we supported English Heritage with a Longlisting Campaign for their Head of Marketing and Brand. The position was attractively remunerated and offered excellent benefits and flexible working options. Due to previous recruitment drives, English Heritage knew that the number of applicants would be high, so they engaged Prospectus to support with longlisting for the role. Following an in-depth brief with the hiring manager, we were able to fully understand the key criteria for the position and what we needed to assess candidates on. We were granted access to their Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and supported the organisation with the initial screening of candidates.

The position attracted 560 applications, and the service we provided drastically reduced the administrative burden on English Heritage as we were able to shortlist the role down to the top 15 candidates. Furthermore, because we had access to the ATS system, it also ensured the candidate experience remained consistent. Finally, it guaranteed that the recruitment timescales were adhered to, and candidates remained engaged throughout the process. The position was successfully placed on the first attempt.

Prospectus’ Longlisting Service acts as an extension of your internal teams and procedures, allowing clients to draw on additional capacity, increased efficiency, and our expert knowledge of the recruitment market.
