With an ambitious strategy for 2022-27, the Chief Executive Officer was looking for a strategic and solutions-focused Interim Director of Operations and Transformation to work closely with her, in this pivotal new leadership role.
This was an exciting opportunity for a leader with an established record of transforming systems, processes and cultures across organisations to lead both the ‘business as usual’ activities, alongside enhancing administrative, financial and digital infrastructures to ensure the charity could deliver its future ambitions. The role remit included merging internal functions (HR, finance and IT) into one team; delivering efficient and effective central services for both staff and service users; driving digital transformation; and being an active member of the ELT.
In seeking the right candidate, we were looking for someone that could evidence the leadership and delivery of transformational change programmes and had the proven ability to combine visionary, strategic leadership with hands-on and collaborative work that supports and sustains ‘business as usual’ activities. They needed to be adept at managing multi-disciplinary teams, including the people and finance functions, and able to evidence how they have maximised the use of digital technologies to achieve efficiencies.
The candidate placed was an experienced Senior Director/COO/CPO Level Executive leader with over 30 years’ experience delivering operational results within the commercial and Charity sector, sitting and influencing at board level. With a highly customer and people-focused approach, she had a strong record of creating exceptional service provisions and operational efficiencies and was a passionate advocate for empowering teams through excellent communication and coaching.
