We are proud to work alongside the inspiring organisation, Women in Prison, who provide a range of innovative services to help vulnerable women avoid, survive and exit the criminal justice system. Established in 1983, Women in Prison were originally set up after their founder, through her own lived experience of being imprisoned, saw the damaging effect prison sentences were having on women and saw the need for change. Since then, the organisation has continued to evolve and expand, initially starting with just campaigning and now deliver direct support to women, both across prison and community-based locations.

Since partnering with Women in Prison in 2020, Prospectus has successfully recruited over 25 candidates, both on a temporary, contract and permanent basis, and have supported with their recruitment on a national basis, including their main services across London, Surrey and Manchester. Some examples of successful recruitment appointments include:

  • Service Managers

  • Women’s Advocates

  • Substance Misuse Advocates

  • Domestic Abuse and Parenting Specialists

  • Administrators

We have worked closely in partnership with Women in Prison on each recruitment appointment in order to understand the complexities of each of their services, and the requirements of each of their different vacancies.

Some of our most recent placements include a specialist Women’s Health Advocate (working as part of WiP’s three-year ‘Healthy Foundations’ project in London supporting women holistically around their health and wellbeing), and a part time Administrator for their triage service located in Manchester. We have also placed a Women’s Advocate for their specialist Bluebird service, also based in London, providing support to women prior to their release as well as intensive 1:1 community support, in order to reduce risk of reoffending, relapsing and recall.
