Plan International UK is a global children’s charity who work with girls and boys growing up in some of the world’s poorest communities, making sure they have access to the education, health care, clean water and future opportunities they need to thrive. They also working to create a just and equal world for girls – including here in the UK.
We were looking for a candidate to focus on working within a consortium with partners in West Africa working on cost effective nutrition services for women and children in high-malnutrition burden states. The candidate would need to use their excellent communication skills to liaise with donors, stakeholders and funding managers, demonstrating Plan UK’s values on Gender Equality and Education.
Meenakshi Sharma, a charity professional with 8 years’ experience working in NGO/INGO sectors internationally and in the UK, was appointed to the role. She has provided demonstrable contributions to programme quality and partnership development at all levels, through evidence-based delivery of effective humanitarian and development work. Looking to step into a collaborative space to shape innovative, cross-sector projects to help build a sustainable, resilient & equitable world, she was the perfect fit for this role and hit the ground running on starting with Plan UK.
