Each week, The Scout Association gives over 460,000 young people the opportunity to enjoy fun and adventure while developing the skills they need to succeed, supported by over 150,000 volunteers.
Prospectus were appointed to find a Head of People and Culture to work in their Head Office in Chigwell, East London and be part of the Senior Leadership Team. This was a fantastic opportunity to build on the charity’s success; with high ambitions, modern business process, renewed vigour and a strong focus on working collaboratively. We needed to identify candidates that could drive a cultural step change throughout the organisation as well as having overall responsibility for driving improvement across the full range of HR Services and Operations.
Over 50 applicants applied for the role and we interviewed a selection of the strongest candidates to assess their credibility, authenticity, and ability to help shape a culture of collaboration, empowerment, ambition, innovation and fast-paced change.
Ultimately Vicky Greig was appointed to the role, bringing experience from her time as Director of HR at United Response, as well as a great breadth of experience from her time as an interim consultant.
