Assessment & Resettlement Worker

The Passage is a homelessness charity based in Westminster, whose mission is to provide support to people who find themselves sleeping rough in Westminster by providing a safe and welcoming place to stay up to 28 days whilst planning their resettlement.

Prospectus worked with the Passage to find an Assessment & Resettlement Worker to join their team. In this role the appointed candidate would hold a case load, and work collaboratively with their team to deliver their comprehensive assessment service; carrying out assessments that enables the prompt resettlement of all individuals who are referred, whilst building supportive networks in their home area or where they have a proven link. The postholder would be required to deliver a personalised, psychologically and trauma informed service that is solution and outcomes focused, providing individuals with personalised case management support to assist them to resettle and utilising a practical action plan which they would have had full involvement in.

The appointed candidate had been working within the homeless sector for the last three years, working with clients that have been suffering with addiction and mental health. They have also worked as a life skills coach where they supported service users to become tenancy ready and linked them in with other services and encouraged them to engage with these services while they were bidding for housing and looking for private rental.
