Trustees

The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing (ISTD) is a registered educational charity and membership association. With approximately 7,000 members in over 65 countries worldwide, ISTD conducts over 150,000 examinations each year.

Following a period of significant cultural change, ISTD were looking for three new Board Members to help lead the organisation through a period of increased impact and growth. Specifically ISTD were looking for candidates with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of Finance, Legal or Digital/Creative Communications.

Prospectus were appointed to lead a search for candidates who not only met the requirements specified but who brought passion and understanding for the arts sector more broadly. Although initially mandated to appoint three Trustees ISTD were so pleased with the shortlist provided they appointed four:

Frederick Way – Head of Centre for Effective Dispute Resolution (CEDR) Foundation, Frederick is a qualified Barrister.

Sian Prime – As Deputy Director: Institute of Creative and Cultural Entrepreneurship. Previously in leadership roles at Nesta and Arts & Business.

Lynn Chandler – A chartered accountant who held senior finance roles at BPP Holdings PLC and Sears PLC.

Carrie-Marie Wootten – Director of Immerse UK, a tech innovation hub and previously Head of Arts Programmes at Trinity College London
