Ryan began his career in Alumni and Events Development and was involved in his first fundraising campaigns at school in Kent and later at the University of Sussex. After a successful two years in professional fundraising he moved into Fundraising and Development recruitment for a small organisation in Chicago, working with organisations in the charity, social impact, and performing arts spaces. 

Ryan moved to Prospectus in July 2015 and now leads the Fundraising Practice. He has led on significant fundraising appointments for UNICEF UK, RNIB, Tate, the Sutton Trust, Black Equity Organisation, the Barbican and many more. Particularly interested in major donor motivations and fundraising innovation, Ryan has chaired Prospectus’ Fundraising Breakfasts to audiences of over 100 fundraisers and advises and consults organisations on their fundraising and development leadership appointments. His team appoint to over 200 fundraising roles each year and Ryan is proud of the multi-role, cross-discipline recruitment projects he has been lucky enough to lead. 

Ryan often partners with fundraising consultancies and partners, delivering bespoke training and advice sessions for candidates and clients. Ryan leads the Fundraising Team of seven at Prospectus; a bright, energetic, and committed team of fundraising consultants dedicated to recruiting the best talent across the sector.
