With over 16 years experience of building successful brands and teams within the beyond profit recruitment sector, Ian heads up our Office and Professional and Frontline Recruitment teams. He has developed an extensive knowledge base and network of contacts within the sector, particularly in fundraising, working with a multitude of small to medium sized organisations as well as large charitable organisations.
Ian is a passionate supporter of the sector and is currently a Trustee of Find your Feet an international development organisation.
Tristan specialises in recruiting permanent, temporary and contract positions in the fields of international development, heritage, housing and the NHS. Since graduating from the War Studies department at Kings College in 2006, he has held numerous positions in the private and not for profit sectors. Most recently as Schools Programme Officer at War Child and Events Administrator at the British Red Cross.
Having worked and volunteered in the sector for a number of years, he remains inspired and convinced by the sector's importance. This consultancy position has allowed him to build his knowledge and skills whilst continuing to contribute to the success of the sector.
With over 7 years’ recruitment experience, Scott specialises in Higher Education recruitment and works with many of London’s major colleges and universities, including King's College London, UCL, Queen Mary University and the Institute of Education.
Scott recruits to a wide range of temporary, contract and permanent support roles and has developed an exceptionally strong network of clients and candidates.
Ryan joined Prospectus as a Fundraising Recruitment Consultant in 2015. Ryan’s career in the beyond profit sector began in Chicago, USA where he recruited for a variety of fundraising and beyond profit positions. Ryan specialises in recruitment for homelessness, social enterprise, and arts focused organisations.
With a degree in English, Ryan is passionate about reading and writing and has volunteered for literacy programs aiding the homeless and underserved, and is passionate about social equality and opportunity. Ryan is a Trustee of United AllStars, a sports engagement charity working with at risk youth in Camberwell and Peckham to help them overcome social and economic barriers to success.
As well as over 20 years of recruitment experience, Robert has played a key role in setting up a number of employability initiatives and programmes for disadvantaged groups, most recently partnering through Prospectus with Thames Reach on a year long capacity building programme.
A consultant with Prospectus for over 8 years, Robert specialises in administration and operational roles in a wide range of charities, including some of the UK's largest and most innovative trusts, foundations and grant making organisations.
Afsheen is a specialist recruiter to the Higher Education sector at Prospectus. With previous recruitment experience within Social Care, Afsheen is dedicated to supplying high quality temporary candidates who are passionate about education and learning to London Universities and Higher Education institutions.
Prior to her recruitment career, Afsheen graduated from University with a BA honours in Business and Marketing. Whilst studying, Afsheen temped for various Higher Education organisations in a number of roles. This has given Afsheen a valuable insight into the sector from both a candidate and client’s perspective.
Afsheen has recruited for roles within many Higher Education establishments including, King’s College London, SOAS, London Business School, UCL, Institute of Education, Queen Mary University and many more.
Louis is a Consultant within our Office and Professional Team. Louis joined Prospectus as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant and has worked across the Office and Professional, Frontline, Senior Appointments and Executive Search team supporting the different recruitment processes. This unique level of exposure has been a great benefit as he continues to grow and develop his knowledge of the beyond profit sector and Prospectus as a whole.
Louis has volunteered with smaller charities that resonated with him, assisting on their marketing strategies to attract fundraisers and volunteers.
A Consultant in our Office and Professional team, Katy has over 10 years’ experience of recruiting within the beyond profit sector. Katy is responsible for temporary, contract and permanent recruitment ranging from general office administration to Communications, Finance and HR. In addition to working with Membership organisations Katy has a particular passion for the environmental and homeless sector along with charities who support vulnerable women.
Katy’s career in the beyond profit sector kick started as a street fundraiser progressing into a Face to Face Fundraising recruitment specialist setting up in house campaigns across the UK for a number of charities. Most recently, prior to joining Prospectus Katy worked directly for the charity Working Chance placing female ex-offenders back into sustainable employment as well as facilitating employability works shops for women in prison.
Femke has been consistently involved with the beyond profit sector throughout her studies (Social Science and Psychology) in Cardiff and career across the UK and Brussels, and has always had an interest in the sector. Having joined Prospectus as a Consultant on the Fundraising Team, she hopes to support growth across the sector by providing specialist recruitment support. At the heart of her drive lies the intention to aid those less fortunate, whether this be directly through volunteering, or via recruiting top quality fundraisers to join organisations in need. A charity’s monetary successes are central to its effectiveness and efficiency, so being able to support with this is very rewarding.
With a personal interest in nutrition, mental health, families and children, Femke has volunteered and raised funds for a variety of organisations, such as Family Lives, Mind, St Hilda’s Trust, SSVP, PRUs and The Little Princess Trust, amongst others. She looks forward to continuing her involvement in the sector through, and alongside, her work at Prospectus.
Haydn has 12 years’ recruitment experience across the social care sector. He currently recruits for temporary positions up to senior management level within the beyond profit sector at Prospectus.
Haydn is an advocate of the Prospectus ethos of ‘Advantaged Thinking’ and was previously at Working Chance where he worked with women care leavers between the ages of 18-25 and supported them in to career defining apprenticeships and employment and mentoring them to attain their full potential. Haydn has also worked with women ex-offenders and used his recruitment experience to support and assist them on their journey back in to work.
Nazir joined Prospectus in 2014 as an Administrator handling queries, assisting with finance administration and compliance. In 2016 he joined the Office & Professional team as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant specialising in temporary recruitment, he quickly was promoted to Recruiment Consultant
Having successfully completed an apprenticeship in administration, Nazir is keen to gain a better understanding of how the recruitment process works. Nazir was motivated to join Prospectus as he is passionate about the beyond profit sector and has volunteered with a local youth club for the last seven years.
With a background in Face-to-Face fundraising, Murphy joined Prospectus after graduating with a joint degree in Anthropology and Psychology as a Candidate Executive on the fundraising team. Having been involved with the Beyond Profit sector through her education and previous employment she is passionate about mental health, homelessness, disability, human rights and environmental causes. Since being promoted to Recruitment Consultant she focuses on finding the best fundraising talent in the sector.
Murphy is particularly invested in the homelessness sector and has volunteered for a number of years at homeless shelters. Specifically, she has worked with individuals on employability skills as well as creating partnerships with her university for food and household donations. She hopes to develop her knowledge of the sector and continue to support organisations develop their fundraising teams.
Adam joined Prospectus with two and half years’ experience in charity and corporate recruitment, as well as time spent working in Parliament and on various campaigns.
Adam is a consultant on our fundraising team, and is passionate about sourcing and engaging with new and existing fundraisers and executives in the beyond profit sector. Adam has a keen interest in fighting climate change and improving air quality in London through volunteering with local and national campaign groups and helping to positively influence council policy.
Adam is a local community activist in Tower Hamlets and sits on the National Executive of the Young Fabians, where he focuses on research and reporting on Local Government policy.
Matt is a Trainee Consultant within our Office and Professional Team. He is working close with his colleagues to gain expose to the beyond profit sector and Prospectus as a whole.
He is extremely passionate about the sector having previously volunteered during his time at university to raise money for organisations such as Shelter and Cavendish Cancer Care. Matt has spent most of his life volunteering at the local theatre in his hometown, assisting with the running of their youth theatre at the weekends.”
Gaining a recent degree in Childhood and Youth Studies, Tia gained a wide insight into the beyond profit sector through various placements in both the UK and the USA, such as MIND and Thislewaithe Learning Centre.
These experiences sparked a passion for Tia as she realised the great demand for devoted individuals in the beyond profit sector.
Now a part of the Office and Professional Education team, Tia seeks to develop her knowledge and skills within recruitment, working together with clients and candidates to offer the best recruitment solutions and to attract the best talent. In turn, providing an excellent service to users of the beyond profit sector.
Emma joined the Prospectus Charity Core team in July 2018 as a Trainee Recruitment Consultant.
Prior to joining the team, Emma worked across the higher education, criminal justice and charity sectors. Her journey into the beyond profit began whilst working as a Police Officer (as a Police Now Graduate), where she developed an understanding of the challenges facing the most vulnerable and disadvantaged members of society. This experience ignited her passion to break into the beyond profit sector, where she spent two years supporting the work of two prominent criminal justice charities as both a Researcher and Policy Officer.
Emma is extremely passionate about charitable causes related to: criminal justice, the emergency services, access to education, sport and mental health.
Lucia joined Prospectus after completing a BSc in Economics from the University of Birmingham, specialising in Development and Environmental Economics. Her passion for social justice began as a teenager when she started campaigning for Amnesty International and became a member of Greenpeace. She furthered this passion at university where she founded the Help the Homeless Society which had 60 monthly volunteers and organised fundraising events for homelessness charities. Throughout university she also volunteered for Amnesty International, Action for Children and Anthony Nolan. Another one of Lucia’s passions is increasing opportunities for those who are from diverse and socially disadvantaged backgrounds.
Lucia is working at Prospectus because she wants to ensure the best talent is attracted to the beyond profit sector. She works within our temp recruitment team and hopes to specialise within human rights and LGBT causes.
Sam has previously worked in the museums and heritage sector as a face-to-face fundraiser and before this completed an MA in History.
As Candidate Executive, Sam is the first point of contact for our Fundraising candidates, providing first class customer service to support their development. He works closely with our consultants to support them in finding the best talent in Fundraising. As well as this, he also represents Prospectus at internal and external networking events and conferences, meeting with clients in order to build a better understand of their needs.
Sam regularly volunteers at Keats House in Hampstead which is part of an active interest in the arts and heritage sector, and he also supports conservation charities.
Mary joined Prospectus in 2013 as an Administrator for the Office and Professional team where she provided overarching administrative support for a number of consultants on a temporary, contract and permanent basis. Mary now supports the Director of Office and Professional Recruitment, assisting with diary, research and information management. She also coordinates our external and internal events including the Fundraising and HR Breakfast series, and our Leadership Dinners.
Very much engaged with the beyond profit sector, Mary enjoys volunteering with organisations in need of support with policy and administration requirements. Her passion lies with organisations supporting vulnerable people and those on the margins of society, and is always looking for more opportunities to get involved.
With a background in administration across various sectors, Lucy joined the Office and Professional team as the Senior Administrator in 2016 after spending a year on Prospectus’ Recruitment Advertising team.
Lucy has a particular interest in animal charities, having spent a year caring for animals on a farm and studying animal management.
A keen photographer, Lucy studied the subject at university and has previously volunteered her time to teach photography and other creative workshops in schools.
Iain is an Administrator & Resourcer for the Office & Professional team.
Iain previously worked in the banking sector before deciding he wanted to work in the not for profit sector to focus on making improvements to people’s lives and communities as a whole.
He registered with Prospectus in 2010, working on temporary roles with charities such as Teenage Cancer Trust and the Holocaust Memorial Day Trust before joining Prospectus on a permanent basis.
Amelia is an Administrator on the Office and Professional team. Having previously worked for a number of charities, Amelia is excited to be back in the Beyond Profit sector and is looking forward to taking part in the voluntaryprojects that Prospectus offer throughout the year.
