UK Director

Prospectus parterned with Spring Impact, a global not-for-profit leader in scaling social impact, to appoint Mohamed Osman as a new director leading its UK operations.

Mohamed brings 20 years of experience implementing programs and building partnerships in global health, social enterprise and humanitarian assistance across 25 countries. Previously Global Grants Director at Elton John AIDS Foundation (EJAF), Mohamed spent a decade growing the Foundation to become one of the foremost independent AIDS charities in the world.

Dan Berelowitz, CEO and Co-Founder of Spring Impact, welcomed Mohamed to the team:

“Mohamed brings impressive experience in leading programmes that create strong social impact, particularly implementing high-level, high-stakes, high-risk partnerships in global health. I know he will make a fantastic contribution to Spring Impact and we are thrilled to have him join us in taking our UK operations from strength to strength.”

Spring Impact is a global non-profit on a mission to scale social impact, so that great ideas change more lives. It partners with mission-driven charities, social enterprises and funders tackling the toughest social problems around the world - from homelessness to food poverty. In the UK it has worked with organisation such as NSPCC and Leonard Cheshire Disability, as well as smaller, grass-roots organisations such as Wevolution, MayDay Trust and Reclaim.

As Director, Mohamed will be responsible for developing and leading the UK office’s strategy and operations, as well as overseeing a portfolio of domestic and international projects. This includes Spring Impact’s Scale Accelerator, which helps mission-driven organisations to maximise their impact, due to a grant by the National Lottery Community Fund.

Mohamed joins Spring Impact following the departure of Joe Kallarackal, who was a UK Director at the organisation for five years.

Commenting on his appointment Mohamed Osman said:

“Spring Impact’s inspiring mission and ambition really resonates with me and I share the team’s frustration that many impactful solutions remain trapped in small scale pilots. I am looking forward to applying my skills and experience here and being part of this organisation’s exciting journey in the UK.”
