Inclusion is intrinsic to our corporate values of collaboration, community and trust. We see every day that when diversity is truly embraced and celebrated, it unleashes tremendous creativity and value for individuals, organisations and communities.

Our Commitment

As recruiters, we recognise the important role we play in building more inclusive organisations, at every level from Board to operational delivery. We commit to support that through all our engagements and specifically the appointments we help make.  

Our clients and candidates vest significant trust in us, and as conduits between them, we have a responsibility to ensure fair and transparent processes, challenging bias, and their perception of what is possible. We stand alongside our community to achieve what is right. We seek to challenge our clients and ourselves.

 What do we do now

  • Every member of the Prospectus team undergoes inclusion and unconscious bias
  • training, and we dedicate time to discuss diversity and inclusion across the business. Always aiming for each one of us to learn, develop and improve
  • We work with our clients to ensure diversity is a key factor in discussions about roles, including at longlist and shortlist stages. We seek to constructively challenge our clients
  • Create an inclusive and impactful narrative for each appointment
  • Through proactive research and appropriate advertising build diverse long and shortlists
  • Challenge bias, ensuring robust and fair recruitment processes, for example through supporting clients to build inclusive interview panels
  • Provide alternative application methods based on individual applicant needs, including accessible appointment briefs
  • Through advertising, we can use digital tools and experiment with other forms to target specific and underrepresented communities
  • Bring people together at events to foster shared learning and thoughtful discussions that can enable positive change

Who we are   

As a diverse and inclusive organisation, Prospectus is constantly striving to reflect the communities we serve. Between us, we speak over 14 languages, including; Arabic, Bengali, French, German, Greek, Hindi, Italian, Norwegian, Punjabi, Sign Language, Spanish and Tigrinya.

Prospectus is a learning organisation. We see the landscape and our marketplace constantly evolving. We do not have all the answers to complex questions of inclusivity but will always continue to learn and challenge ourselves and those we collaborate with. Therefore, we have an Inclusion Champion on our Board, a company-wide Inclusion Task Force, and are constantly reviewing practice and challenging ourselves to do more.
