Candidate A: Has just finished a contract as a project worker where they have been working with a caseload of clients with mental health support needs in a supported housing setting. Over 10 years frontline experience working with vulnerable people. Client groups and environments where experience has been gained include young people, domestic violence, learning disabilities, substance misuse, and homelessness. The candidate comes from a psychotherapy and counselling background and their work approach reflects this. Key skills include support planning, key working, arrears management and welfare benefits advice. Training undertaken: Service User Risk assessment and safety planning, conflict management, professional boundaries, health and safety (CIEH level 2), safeguarding adults, equality and diversity, lone working, mental health and welfare benefits, POVA reporting and child protection, mental health act, QAF Quality assessment, cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT). Candidate B: Has been working for a considerable period as a Support Manager for a large residential project within a supported housing provider. Currently manages a large hostel site with 5 direct reports. Strong staff management experience and strong experience liaising with partners and funders. Budget management experience. Confident in leading teams through Supporting People reviews. Strong knowledge of Quality Assessment Frameworks. Has worked with homeless clientele of all ages and with a variety of support needs. Career Objective: Seeking a new a challenge and keen to undertake further work in young people’s services. Other areas of interest include working in the domestic violence field or as a floating support manager.
Candidate C: Currently working in business development for a large supported housing provider. Strong bid writing experience. Career history includes extensive experience working as a project manager for a variety of organisations in the housing and homeless sectors. Client groups have included mental health, substance misuse and ex offenders. Environments have included floating support, supported housing and direct access hostels. Holds a diploma in nursing (RMN). Career Objective: Keen to find a role where previous experience in frontline management of services and staff can be developed further.
Candidate D: Currently working as a service manager for a voluntary sector mental health care provider. Strong experience in the management of mental health services and in particular delivering against SP commissioning requirements. Successful outcomes around reduction of void losses and rent arrears. Extensive experience managing and developing staff. Other skills include: budget management, management of resettlement services, project monitoring and evaluation, training delivery and development. Client support needs have included: Mental Health, Substance misuse, learning disabilities. Career Objective: Keen to find a role managing a large team/ project where there is an opportunity to manage operational change.
