Attending a leading university opens up a lifetime of opportunity but many bright teenagers miss out on this chance. Young people from disadvantaged backgrounds are significantly less likely to get into a top university compared to their more advantaged peers.

The Access Project believes this is unfair and works to improve access by raising attainment and supporting young people to fulfil their potential. We work with bright students from disadvantaged backgrounds, providing in-school support and personalised tuition to help them beat the odds and secure places at top universities.

Now in our tenth year, we still have the drive of a young start-up organisation. We combine commitment and creativity with rigorous intentionality in all our work and we place great emphasis on understanding the impact we have on our students' lives. We know what works, with independent analysis showing our students perform better than their peers academically and are twice as likely to get into a top university as comparable students who have not had our support.
