Building on the success and significant achievements to date across its International Tourism Partnership (ITP) programme, this is a unique opportunity to provide inspirational leadership and forge new relationships with the industry. You will be driving ITP’s vision and ambitious plans as the voice and catalyst for environmental and social responsibility in the global hotel industry.
The post holder will be responsible for strengthening ITP’s links to its member companies at the most senior levels, as well as leading and inspiring an established and committed staff team. You will ensure that ITP becomes the recognised voice of a sustainable hotel industry, with a membership base that represents all the main global hotel companies.
You will ensure maximum impact on the issues, and maximum added value for the members. Aligned to the UN Sustainable Development Goals, ITP has just launched 4 stretching goals for 2030. Your opportunity is to work closely with members and the wider industry to make these goals (focused on carbon, water, human trafficking and youth employment) a reality, in one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing industries.
We are seeking an outstanding campaigner and influencer, with excellent knowledge of the corporate responsibility agenda and key sustainability / responsible business issues as they affect multinational companies. With significant leadership and team management experience in a fast paced environment in the commercial, charity or social enterprise space, you will have a proven history of building impactful relationships at the most senior of levels, with a diverse range of stakeholders and key influencers. With a global outlook and deep understanding of country level or regional implementation, your approach will be based on collaboration, integrity and a can-do attitude.
Critical to your success will be a genuine passion and commitment to responsible, sustainable travel and tourism, and caring passionately about the core ethos of Business in the Community.
