360Giving was set up in 2015 because founder, Indigo Trust Director Fran Perrin, couldn’t find the information she needed to inform her own grant making decisions.
The mission of 360Giving is to support UK grant makers to publish information on who, where and what they fund in an open, standardised format to build a better picture of the funding landscape and boost its impact.
Prospectus was mandated to find their new CEO to oversee all aspects of the organisation, from working with the board around strategy, to day-to-day operational support of all functions.
We sought candidates who demonstrated excitement for 360Giving’s mission, and had a strong interest in open data and its potential whilst also having a strong understanding of the grant making sector. Potential candidates needed interpersonal skills to build relationships and strong leadership and advocacy skills to direct clearly and gain the confidence of the team and other key stakeholders. The new CEO would also need to be confident with financial management, fundraising and reporting, and have experience of strategic planning and delivering significant projects.
Tania Cohen was successfully appointed to the CEO position. Tania was previously the Director of Finance & Resources at London Youth and brings with her a passion for data, and a long career in charities and the grant making sector, bringing the perfect blend to this role along with her policy experience.
